Alexa is a +500RYS certified yoga teacher, sound therapist and Human Design guide with a passion for bringing more joy and connection into your life. With her work, she wants to help you break free from the confines of your mind and foster a profound connection with yourself - with your body, mind, and soul. Alexa's teaching style is a mix of everything she loves to practice. From sweaty Vinyasa or calming Yin to energizing Kundalini-inspired practices, nourishing deep rest or sound baths, in Alexa's classes you can expect to go on an exploration of your body, breath and mind to truly connect with yourself as a whole. Whether that's through movement, sound or experimenting with your human design, Alexa believes that genuine transformation only occurs when all energetic bodies are in harmony.

Mornings start with mindful Vinyasa Flow practices to gently awaken your body and senses, aligning with a slow living approach. Evenings transition to soothing Yin Yoga and restorative sessions, allowing deep relaxation and release of tension. Sessions are designed to nurture both body and spirit, leaving you serene and refreshed. Some classes feature the calming sounds of Singing Bowls for enhanced relaxation.
Guided Breathwork + Mediation
Through guided breathwork, meditation, and visualization, we gently anchor ourselves into the present moment, embracing the essence of slow living. Our focus is on cultivating tranquility and inner clarity, leading us toward a state of serene presence and profound peace.
Guided Journaling
Guided journaling at our retreat offers a peaceful space for self-reflection and mindfulness. In line with the slow living approach, these sessions help you explore your thoughts and feelings at a relaxed pace. With simple prompts and exercises, you’ll gain deeper insights into yourself and support your journey towards inner calm and clarity.
Shake the Dust
Shake the Dust is an invigorating practice that captures the vibrant energy of spring. It blends dynamic movements from yoga, pilates, somatics, and bodyweight training with moments of calm. Featuring shaking, dancing, and jumping, set to an uplifting playlist, it offers a powerful workout with a sense of freedom and renewal. This fun and rejuvenating experience energizes the body and is perfect for all fitness levels.

Cocoon is a 275-acre farm on Portugal's stunning Atlantic coast, near the fishing village of Zambujeira do Mar in the Alentejo region. Known for its untouched coastline and charming white-washed villages, the area offers preserved, wild landscapes ideal for swimming, surfing, and hiking.
HIGHLIGHTS
VEGAN & VEGETARIAN SLOW FOOD
Food at Cocoon is local, with most of the produce coming from either the property or a nearby farm. A typical breakfast includes eggs, local fruit, Greek yogurt, homemade granola, local honey, homemade jam, slow-rise bread. Lunch is often a bowl; a base of ancient grains like farro, topped with avocado, roasted veggies, nori, or mixed greens. For dinner, expect Indian + Japanese curries, Mediterranean stews, legumes, rice, salad and dessert. There is also an outdoor, wood-fired Pizza oven. ☺
Cocoon can accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten free and vegan.
A basic level of physical and mental fitness is required.
However, all exercise sessions are also suitable for yoga beginners.
